Senator Lynch

Feb 1 Still after Senator Lynch

Whereas John C. Lynch, our present representative in the state legislature, betrayed the confidence reposed in him by working for an acknowledged Romanist for the office of U.S. Senator, whereas John C. Lynch has further disgraced himself by violating a solemn oath to work in the solemn interest of another candidate, therefore be it resolved that the members of SB councils of the APA of the State of California, do hereby call upon John C. Lynch to resign.

Feb 1 Editorial re Senator Lynch
In the senatorial contest between Perkins and DeYoung a certain number of men "fell down" . Lynch of SB, speaker of the Assembly, occupied the least enviable position. He was pledged by his constituents to vote for Perkins. We do not think there is much of a political future for Mr. Lynch in this state.
Jan 5 (c) Women’s Suffrage
Ten reasons against women voting & arguments against the ten reasons.
Partition of California
Irrigation demands a repartition of California, and has been endorsed by many of the best statesmen in the state.. A map shows the proposed partitions of North California, California, and South California.
Amendments
Dec 14 c There are six amendments to the state constitution to be submitted to our people in the next general election. One extends the right of suffrage to women, one refers to the liability of stockholders, one defines taxable property, one provides for the manner of holding elections. Women’s suffrage will surely be defeated if a vigorous campaign of education is not entered upon and kept up unabatedly until the last ballot is cast.
